Lean Manufacturing 4.0 – Theme
“Lean Manufacturing 4.0 – The Technological Evolution of Lean” deals with the technological evolution that Lean has undergone in the last decade, and how current tendencies of the Industry 4.0 with Intelligent and Connected Factories can transform it in the near future.
We will see which circumstances trigger Lean capacities to generate advantages in an operation, but we will also see cases where it is not so useful. We will go into detail in each topic from the perspective of implementation of the Lean method in a factory rather than the theory behind it. The book will aim to maintain the essence of tools such as Kaizen, Gemba or SMED, applying them more quickly, simply and flexibly with the use of specific technologies for Lean Manufacturing.
